A fourth man has been charged in connection with an armed robbery that occurred at a security services company in April.

Investigators believe the robbery at an INKAS Security Services building was an inside job involving two men who worked at the company at the time of the robbery, another man who previously worked there and a fourth man, police said at a news conference in May.

Police said men two went inside the building, located on Signet Drive, near Finch Avenue West and Highway 400, in the early hours of April 14 while a third man waited outside in a 2010 Honda.

A victim inside the property was allegedly confronted by two suspects, one of whom was carrying a silver revolver, police said.

The victim was pistol-whipped, assaulted and zip-tied before the suspects reportedly made off with a large quantity of cash.

Two weeks later, on April 30, police released security camera images of the suspects along with pictures of vehicles believed to be connected with the robbery.

Subsequently, on May 7, police executed 12 search warrants in Toronto and Peel Region, searching homes and vehicles.

As a result of the searches, police seized $117,000 in cash, three motorcycles and two cars – a BMW M5 and a 2010 Honda Accord.

New furniture, household appliances, motorcycle helmets, clothing and other items were also seized during the raids.

Three suspects from Brampton were arrested and charged with a number of offences. Two of those suspects are alleged to have been at the scene of the robbery. Police said the third suspect in custody worked at the company but investigators do not believe he was at the scene when the incident took place.

Cecil Stewart, 27, Aundre Hartwell, 29 and Devon Hartwell, 27 are each facing a number of charges in connection with the robbery.

They include robbery while armed with a firearm, possession of property obtained through crime, forcible confinement and conspiracy to commit an indictable offence.

Stewart is also facing a number of drug-related charges.

On Monday, July 15, a fourth suspect was charged in connection with the case.
