An arrest has been made in connection with a series of shootings in Scarborough that occurred between September 2011 and January 2012, Toronto police say.

In a release issued Thursday night, police say the arrest is in connection to two shootings - one on Sept. 4, 2011 where three people were shot at a pizza shop, and the other which took place on Northfield Drive on Nov. 4, 2011, where one person was shot.

Ad-Ham Khamis, 19, of Toronto, faces charges including four counts of attempted murder, possession of an unregistered restricted weapon and trafficking firearms.

Police say Khamis is a known Galloway Boys gang member, the gang police have linked to the mass shooting on Danzig Street and a number of other shootings.

He is scheduled to appear in court Friday morning.

Police would like to speak with anyone who has information about Khamis.
