“KRINOS TASTE OF THE DANFORTH CONTEST(Greece)”

OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES AND REGULATIONS

GENERAL

Agreement: These rules govern the “Taste of the Danforth Contest (Greece)” (the “Contest”). No purchase is necessary to enter the Contest. The act of entering the Contest constitutes acceptance of the Contest Rules and the decisions of the Contest judges, which decisions shall be final and binding upon all entrants. To qualify, watch CP24 Breakfast for the details on how to enter, and send your submission in an email to the address provided in-show.  Contest opens at 6am on July 21, 2014 and closes at 11:59pm on July 27, 2014.

Sponsor: KRINOS Taste of the Danforth and Transat Holidays

Eligibility: The Contest is open to all residents of Ontario, 19 years of age or older, except for employees or independent contractors, their immediate families and anyone living with any employee or associates of the Sponsors or their corporate affiliates, advertising or promotional agencies. Incomplete or illegible entries, bulk drop offs, photocopies, scanned copies, facsimiles or other mechanically or electronically reproduced entries will not be accepted and will be disqualified.

Grand Prize: The one (1) Grand prize available to be won consists of an Aegean Splendour cruise  trip for two (2) to Glorious Greece, courtesy of Transat Holidays. Your prize includes: roundtrip charter airfare from Toronto to Athens (subject to availability and operation of the charter series), For specific information on your itinerary please refer to Transat Holidays Europe Collection 2013/2014 brochure.

The prize does not include the following: taxes, travel insurance, any additional meals and beverages that are not stated in your itinerary, upgrades, items of a personal nature and any optional tours or sightseeing. We recommend the purchase of medical, accident and baggage insurance, which may be purchased through Transat Holidays. It is the responsibility of the prize-winner to obtain and pay for the required identification documents (i.e. passports, visas, etc.) for their entry into the visiting country prior to departure. Failing to provide the required documents may result in denied boarding by the air carrier and/or entry by immigration authorities. Transat Holidays is not responsible in this respect. It is the prize-winner’s responsibility to check with the airline for baggage restrictions.

The approximate retail value of the trip to Greece grand prize is $3300 (Cdn) per couple, based on a Toronto departure example.

The trip is awarded in conformity with the following conditions:

1. All travel arrangements are to be made through Transat Holidays. This package will be subject to availability at the time of booking.
2. Travel is valid from August 11,  2014–  May 30 2015. Blackout periods may apply including Canadian Statutory Holidays. Flights to Greece  end October 19, 2014 do not commence again until approximately May 4, 2015.
3. All applicable taxes must be paid to Transat Holidays prior to ticket release.
4. All bookings are subject to 100% cancellation penalties. Once the booking has been confirmed, no changes can be made to the passenger names and/or date of travel.
5. The prize offered is subject to the operation of the Charter Series and/or the Tour Package Program.
6. The prize is non-transferable and has no cash value for the winner. Unused travel services are not exchangeable for alternate arrangements.
7. In the event a prize-winner is unable to redeem the prize as awarded, Transat Holidays nor any parties associated with this prize will not provide compensation or substitutions.

If contest winner(s) are unable or unwilling to claim their Prize, for any reason, the next eligible entry selected by random draw will be contacted and the first entrant will have no further claim to the Prize. Prize winners will be required to pick up their prize at the CP24 head office, located at 266 Queen Street West, Toronto, ON M5V 2Z5.

Declaration and Release: Prior to receiving the prize, winner(s) will be required to show valid photo ID, must sign a declaration of eligibility and compliance with the Contest Rules, and will be required to sign a release and consent to publicity form, releasing and indemnifying the Sponsors and respective parent(s), subsidiaries, affiliates and/or related companies and each of their officers, directors, shareholders, employees, advisors, assignees, agents, licensees, representatives, advertising, media buying and promotional agencies from any liability in connection with the Contest and/or the Prize, including but not limited to injuries, death, damages or losses of any kind resulting from the Contest, including but not limited to acceptance or use of the Prize. Prior to receiving the prize(s), Prize Winner shall agree to have his/her name, city of residence, photograph, voice and/or image used in any and all forms of media, without further compensation by any Sponsor and/or their advertising and promotional agencies. If CP24 does not receive the signed form as contemplated herein back within 24 hours, then CP24 may draw for another potential winner and the first winner will have no further claim to that prize.

Banning: The Sponsors may, in their sole discretion, prohibit any person from entering any contest whom they believe to be abusing the Contest Rules. Such abuse includes entering false information and entering more than once per person or household.

Other: This Contest is governed by the laws of Ontario and the laws of Canada applicable therein and is void where prohibited by law. The Sponsors reserve the right in their sole discretion to cancel, suspend or modify the Contest or the Contest Rules at any time without notice. The Prize must be accepted as awarded, is non-transferable and is not convertible to cash. All prizes are awarded as is and no warranties or guarantees are implied or expressed, beyond the standard manufacturer’s warranty. The Sponsors reserve the right to substitute any prize with a prize of equal or approximate value. The Sponsors are not responsible for lost, misdirected, late or stolen entries or inability to process entries, or any errors, damage or negligence that may arise in connection with this Contest or the Prize, including technical failures on the part of Contest software, virus, website down-time, human error or property damage incurred by any Contest entrant. Sponsors are not responsible for any errors or omissions in printing or advertising this Contest. Use of any automated system including robotic or form filling software to enter or participate in this Contest is prohibited and will result in disqualification of all entries by anyone using such assistance. If a dispute arises regarding who submitted an online entry, the entry will be deemed to be submitted by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address provided at the time of entry. Authorized account holder is the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address.
