Mayoral candidate Rob Ford has been sanctioned by his colleagues -- at the final meeting of city council this term.
Council has adopted a report from the city's integrity commissioner that found Ford violated the city's code of conduct when he solicited funds for his football foundation, which funds sports programs in low-income neighbourhoods.
The integrity commissioner concluded that Ford violated three sections of the council code of conduct, including improper use of influence by using council letterhead to seek donations for his foundation.
Ford is ordered to pay back 12 lobbyist and corporate donors who gave more than $3,000 to his foundation.
