The channel decided to air the top ranked CTV News at 6 to provide viewers the highest quality local newscast available, says Vice President and GM of CP24 Bob McLaughlin. It replaces CityNews at Six.

Airing the CTV News at 6 is part of the separation between CP24 and City News which began last October with the sale of CityTV to Rogers Communications.
