Thursday September 27 is the 3rd Annual Artbound “The pARTy” in support of Free the Children, to raise needed funds to build sustainable infrastructure in developing countries that help underprivileged  children to live better lives and break the cycle of poverty. The theme is the movie Footloose, and it’s at Maison on 15 Mercer Street, Toronto at 7:30p.m.

Saturday September 29th is the 100 Thousand Poets for Change in Toronto, at 12noon at the United Steelworkers hall, 25 Cecil Street. It’s events around the world in a demonstration and celebration of poetry, music and art to promote social, environmental and political change

Saturday September 29th is the Starlight Children’s Foundation’s 7th Annual Walk for Smiles at G.Ross Lord Park (4777 Dufferin Street) All proceeds raised will help support Starlight programs across Canada. The Walk for Smiles celebrates the courage and spirit of seriously ill children and their families, while raising funds for Starlight programs and events that bring the joy of childhood back into the lives of sick children. Donors can also make a contribution to Starlight by sponsoring the Path of Smiles for only $5. And there is still time to register and donate. www.walkforsmilestoronto.org
