A cyclist remains in hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Leaside late Wednesday night.
The male suffered severe head injuries when he collided with a vehicle on Eglinton Avenue and Banff Road (near Bayview Avenue.) He was immediately rushed to a local trauma centre.
The collision happened close to where 6-year-old Georgia Walsh was killed July 16. The child was hit by a van near Millwood Road and McRae Drive.
Her death highlighted traffic safety issues in the neighbourhood, with many residents coming forward with complaints about speeding vehicles and lack of speed bumps.
