This is one donation that you can just keep giving and growing.

A Child's Voice Foundation, along with other organizations across the country, needs hair donations to create wigs for children and adults who have lost their own. This can happen for a range of reasons: cancer, alopecia and even stress or trauma. With just a little snip, you can give someone a boost of confidence.

Did you know?

• Hair grows on average one-half inch per month.

• Creating a wig takes three to four months.

• Each wig requires 10 to 12 donated ponytails.

Easy tips:

• Hair that is coloured or permed is still acceptable.

• Organize a group hair cutting event. People can shave their hair in solidarity if they don't have enough to donate.

• Bleached hair is unfortunately not usable.

• Get your hair cut from your stylist, but just remember to get it bundled into one ponytail of the required length.
