TORONTO -- An all-Canadian "Matilda the Musical" and a play starring Rupert Everett as Oscar Wilde are in Mirvish Productions' upcoming season.

The Toronto theatre company's 2015-16 lineup has 14 titles, including the Canadian premiere of "Matilda the Musical," the Tony Award-winning story of a girl who changes her own destiny. It will premiere in July 2016 at the Princess of Wales Theatre.

Meanwhile, Everett will portray Wilde in his later years in David Hare's "The Judas Kiss," which will run in March or April of 2016 at the Royal Alexandra Theatre.

The comedy "A Gentleman's Guide to Love & Murder," which won the 2014 Tony for best musical, will arrive in the city direct from New York in May or June of 2016.

Other shows in the season include the play "Seminar" by Theresa Rebeck, who created the TV series "Smash."

It stars Tom McCamus as a once-celebrated novelist idolized by four aspiring young writers.

Also in the lineup is Rodgers and Hammerstein's contemporary take on "Cinderella" and a new North American tour of "The Phantom of the Opera."

The season also includes "Motown the Musical" and "If/Then" by the Pulitzer- and Tony-winning creators of "Next to Normal."
