Police have released surveillance camera images of a man who is alleged to have posed as a delivery person and fraudulently obtained payment from two businesses in exchange for delivering packages to them.

Police allege that the suspect contacted the manager of a business in the Adelaide and Duncan streets area on Aug. 12 and pretended to be the owner of a nearby business. The man then asked the manager to receive and pay for an expected parcel delivery on his behalf, police say.

It is further alleged that the man then posed as a delivery person, attended the business and received payment for a package.

Police say that the man also committed a similar fraudulent delivery at a business in the Queen Street West and Brock Avenue area on Aug. 17.

In both cases, police say that the man received payment and that the victims only realized that the deliveries were fraudulent after the fact.

The suspect is described as having a medium build with black hair in a long ponytail.

Police say he is wanted for fraud under $5,000.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Jason Hunter at (416) 808-1104 or Detective Constable John Maciek at (416) 808-5200.
