Actor Tom Hiddleston, who was featured in two movies that premiered at the 40th annual Toronto International Film Festival, was the most tweeted-about celebrity during the 10-day event, according to an analysis by Twitter Canada.

Part of that reason is because Hiddlestonsent a tweet, which contained an exclusive clip from “I Saw the Light,” that was retweeted more than 11,000 times.

The English actor’s two TIFF-featured films — “I Saw the Light” and “High Rise” — also led the list of most tweeted about movies at the festival, using the hashtag #TIFF15.

The third-most tweeted about film was “The Idol,” starring Qais Atallah and Hiba Atallah, about a Palestinian man from Gaza who won Arab Idol in 2013.

The fourth-most tweeted about film was “Colonia,” starring Emma Watson and Daniel Brühl, based on the true story of a German artist arrested during the coup of Augusto Pinochet in Chile, and his lover’s attempt to rescue him from a cult collaborating with the ruling military junta.

The fifth-most tweeted about film was “Room,” starring Brie Larson. It’s based on a novel where a mother and her young child who are held in captivity in a backyard shed.

More than 560,000 tweets mentioned #TIFF15 during the festival, which lasted from Sept. 10 to 20.
