TORONTO -- Oscar-winning documentary director Michael Moore will be among the filmmakers to take part in industry events at this year's Toronto International Film Festival.

In town to mark the 25th anniversary of his landmark "Roger & Me," Moore has been announced as one of the guests at this year's Doc Conference, to take place Sept. 9 and 10.

The "Bowling for Columbine" director will take part in a keynote conversation moderated by TIFF programmer Thom Powers.

Meanwhile, special effects innovator Douglas Trumbull has been confirmed as a speaker at the Industry Conference, running Sept. 5 to 11.

And Legendary East's Peter Loehr will open the Asian Film Summit on Sept. 9 at the Shangri-La Hotel.

Additional guests and events for TIFF Industry will be announced next month.

The Toronto International Film Festival runs Sept. 4-14.
