Residents have been forced to leave an apartment building after a two-alarm blaze broke out inside a suite Friday afternoon.

Flames were reported on the eighth floor of the building at 91 Cosburn Ave., near Pape Avenue, at about 4:30 p.m., resulting in an evacuation.

No injuries were reported.

Firefighters began to ventilate the building after the flames were quickly extinguished.

It's the second time this week firefighters have been called to a blaze at a Cosburn Avenue apartment block.

On Tuesday, a three-alarm fire caused significant damage to a complex at 80 Cosburn Ave., near Pape.

Fire officials say wiring between the third, fifth and seventh floors overheated, causing rubber insulation in the walls to melt and smoke.
