Forces personnel returning from Libya mission

OTTAWA - The Canadian fighter jets that helped enforce a NATO no-fly zone over Libya are coming home.
The seven CF-18s are due to land Friday afternoon at CFB Bagotville in Quebec.
Later Friday, some members of the ground crews and other support personnel will return home by way of CFB Trenton in eastern Ontario, while others are to arrive Saturday at CFB Greenwood in Nova Scotia.
Defence Minister Peter MacKay says the military helped protect the Libyan people, enforce UN sanctions and secure access to humanitarian aid.
He says the support of Canada and its allies allowed the Libyan people how to bring about a new democratic age in their country.
The Canadian air unit has been in the Mediterranean since the spring.
