Less than three months after Rob Ford was elected mayor of Toronto, there's a big shake up in the workings of in his inner circle.

The Globe and Mail is reporting that Ford's chief of staff, Nick Kouvalis, will be leaving his job within a few weeks for a different job with the administration.

Kouvalis will be spearheading the mayor's plan to contract out garbage services. The mayor's brother -- city councillor Doug Ford – says the role will allow Kouvalis to spend time in Windsor, where his family lives, the newspaper reports.

Kouvalis is a Conservative strategist from Windsor who is considered the architect of Ford's election victory. He was appointed chief of staff shortly after Ford's win.
