KINGSTON, Ont. -- A 53-year-old Kingston man is facing charges of creating child pornography and other offences following a police investigation.

Investigators allege the man produced child porn and was involved in sexual misconduct with children in incidents spanning the last decade.

Robert Kidd is charged with four counts each of child exploitation and voyeurism, along with three counts of invitation to sexual touching.

He also faces two counts each of making child pornography and possessing child pornography, as well as a criminal harassment count.

Kingston human resources director Patricia Burns says Kidd is employed as the fire service's director of fire prevention, but is currently on leave of absence.
