The second annual Bell Let's Talk Day is taking place Wednesday to encourage all Canadians to start talking about mental illness to eliminate the stigma attached to it.

Several events are taking place across the country to mark the campaign and spread the message, as it's estimated one in every five people will suffer from mental illness in their lifetime.

CP24 and CP24.com will have extensive coverage throughout the day.

CP24.com is holding live chats that are open to everyone. In addition to the live chats, a special section of the website will contain feature articles, photo galleries and important resources.

Bell Let's Talk is a five-year, $50-million mental health initiative that was launched in late 2010.

For every text message sent and long-distance call made on the Bell network Wednesday, the company will donate five cents to programs dedicated to mental health.
