TORONTO - Ride-hailing app Uber is offering puppies on demand in four Canadian cities on Thursday in support of shelter animals.

In a post on its blog, Uber says users of the app in Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal and Edmonton can order a puppy for "15 minutes of puppy cuteness."

Uber says it has teamed with 3MillionDogs to help create awareness for shelter dogs across Canada on National Adopt-A-Shelter-Pet Day.

Users just have to choose the "puppies" option in the app and a playful puppy will be delivered to their office for $30.

The puppies will be available between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. in Toronto, Ottawa and Edmonton, and between noon and 3 p.m. in Montreal.

Uber says anyone requesting puppies should make sure the boss is going to be "cool with the woofs and that no one in the area is allergic."
