Instagram has released its year-end round-up of who and what made waves on the picture-sharing service in Canada this year and it appears that Stratford, Ontario’s own megastar is at the top of the list.

A number of Canadian celebrities continued to amass legions of followers on the picture sharing service in 2015. Not surprisingly though, popstar Justin Bieber topped the list, with nearly 28 million new Instagram pals. He now has 46 million followers. Rapper Drake came a distant second, with 10 million new followers, while singer Shawn Mendes picked up 4 million.

In terms of the most Instagrammed locations in the country, four out of the top five are in in the GTA. They include the Rogers Centre, the Air Canada Centre, the CN Tower and Canada’s Wonderland. However Niagara Falls takes the cake as the most Instagrammed spot in the country.

Other heavily Instagrammed spots around Canada include Montreal’s old port, Stanley Park in Vancouver and Whistler Blackcomb, B.C.
