For a full party experience with delicious food and buzzworthy drinks, consider going to Jamaica if you’re vacationing this summer.
Famous for its “JAMROCK Summer, 90 Days, 90 Ways”, the 90-day long festival offers a series of island-wide events starting in May and plays out until the end of August. The festival offers a vibrant fusion of Jamaican culture, music, cuisine, sports, film, and other entertainment. On the JAMROCK Summer website, you will be guided through a series of activities you can attend during an event with a personalized calendar where you can indicate your interests.
For example, you can enjoy an international Reggae festival while playing beach volleyball and chowing down on jerk chicken.
To briefly outline some of the attractions, June is Jazz Month in Ocho Rios which includes international performers from Europe, U.S. and the Caribbean, or you can enjoy some smooth Reggae in July at the Reggae Sumfest in Montego Bay where headliners such as Usher and Rihanna have performed in the past.
But if you’re a foodie, August is your month to go to Jamaica. Indulge in some delicious food at the Mobay Jerk Festival. August’s finale is the Dream Weekend in Negril which has been known to be the “powerhouse on the Jamaica entertainment calendar” for the past 7 years.
You can check out JAMROCK Summer’s website for some of its other featured events.
