MONTREAL -- Transat says it will add Zagreb, Croatia, and Pisa, Italy, to its list of European destinations in June 2016.

The airline plans to operate direct weekly flights to Pisa from Toronto and Montreal. To Zagreb, the new flights will be direct from Toronto, while passengers from Montreal will need to connect in Toronto.

The seasonal services will run until October.

Transat also announced it is increasing frequency and capacity on several European routes from Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver in 2016.

As well, it will add connecting flights, allowing travellers from Toronto to connect in Montreal for flights to Brussels, Malaga, Lyon and other destinations.

Similarly, Europe-bound travellers from Vancouver and Montreal will be able to connect in Toronto; and from Quebec City, in Montreal.
