TORONTO - Director Terry Gilliam's latest flick is coming to Canadian theatres after all.

Gilliam posted on Facebook that he was led to understand that "Zero Theorem" was not going to be released in cinemas in Canada, only on DVD and Video on Demand.

But hours later the distribution company, Mongrel Media, said given the tremendous interest in the film, it will release it in theatres in the next few weeks.

The statement tells fans to "stay tuned."

Gilliam, whose resume includes the Monty Python series, the Fisher King and Fear and 12 Monkeys, says "Zero Theorem" is made to be seen on a big screen.

The movie, starring Christoph Waltz, is about a reclusive computer genius working on a project aimed at discovering the meaning of life, but he is repeatedly distracted by people he doesn't trust.
