A female nurse employed at the Centre for Addition and Mental Health was rushed to hospital over the weekend after she was allegedly assaulted by a male patient, a spokesperson from CAMH confirmed Wednesday.
According to Toronto police, officers were called to CAMH’s Queen Street West facility shortly before 2 a.m. Sunday for a reported assault.
Police arrived to find a female nurse suffering from a head injury.
The nurse was taken to hospital for treatment, investigators added.
Following the alleged assault, police say a 52-year-old man was taken in to custody.
