A 71-year-old cyclist has died in hospital after being struck by a truck in the east end on Tuesday afternoon.
The incident occurred at the intersection of Victoria Park Avenue and O'Connor Drive shortly after 3 p.m.
The cyclist, police say, was travelling southbound on Victoria Park Avenue and was struck as he attempted to cross O'Connor Drive from the from the north side to the south side on the west side of the intersection.
The 49-year-old driver of a Ford F-150 was heading southbound on Victoria Park Avenue and was making a right-hand turn onto O'Connor Drive when he hit the man.
The victim was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries but later died.
