A Brampton man is appealing for the public’s help tracking down his stolen pickup truck – as well as the four-legged passenger he left inside.

According to Peel police, the vehicle was stolen from the parking lot of the No Frills plaza located at Highway 410 and Queen Street East at around 1:30 p.m.

Wayne Cardinal, the owner of the truck, told CP24 the ignition was turned off and the vehicle was locked when he left it.

His seven-year-old Corgi ‘Smidgie’ was inside the vehicle when it was stolen, he said. She has a microchip and tags.

The truck is described as a black Ford F150.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Peel police.
