A suspect has been arrested in connection with two suspicious car fires in the city’s west end.

Police were called to an address on Keele Street north of Dundas Street West around 2 a.m. Saturday. When they arrived they found a suspicious person in an alleyway near two burning cars.

The fires were knocked out quickly and no one was injured. The Ontario Fire Marshall’s Office was called in to investigate.

On Sunday morning, police said a 21-year-old man has been arrested and charged with two counts of arson and mischief.

Police say the man was trying to stuff several objects into the fuel caps of a vehicle.
