Durham Regional Police say they are investigating two public masturbation incidents that have occurred at the same townhouse complex in Whitby that may be linked.

Police said that on Apr. 22 at 9:25 p.m., they were called to a townhouse complex at Bassett Boulevard.

A woman reported she was in her living room when she saw a male outside the window masturbating. The male fled the area on foot once he was spotted, police said.

The suspect in this incident is described as a white male, 20 to 30 years-old, standing about five-feet-ten inches tall. He was clean shaven with a stocky build. He was seen wearing a dark baseball cap and a dark-coloured sweater.

On Apr. 26 at 11:45 p.m., police were called to another unit in the same townhouse complex for a complaint about a male masturbating.

Two women reported seeing a man standing outside the sliding doors at the rear of their unit masturbating.

He fled towards Brock Street on foot when spotted, police said.

The suspect in the second incident is described as a white male, 45 to 55 years-old, standing between five-feet-eight and five-feet-ten inches tall. He had a medium build and was wearing a beige baseball cap and a hooded sweater.

Anyone with information about these incidents is asked to call Det. Const. Dalziel at 1-888-579-1520, ext. 1832, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
