Police are asking the public to help identify a woman who appeared to be confused and unable to care for herself when she was found in Vaughan last week.

In a written statement, York Regional Police said officers found the woman outside a plaza near Highway 400 and Rutherford Road on Sept. 8 around 8 p.m. She was alone and police took her to a hospital where she is currently staying.

“Investigators and hospital staff have been unable to identify her and have exhausted all leads,” said the statement.
