Two men are facing charges after police say a 16-year-old was allegedly forced to work in the sex trade.

Police allege that the girl met two men through a mutual friend and the pair later recruited and forced the teen to work in the sex trade.

The men, police say, took nude photos of her and posted them on backpages.com to advertise her sexual services.

Prices were set for her services and police say she was forced to turn over all the money she earned.

Police also said the teen was hardly given any food and was forced to work over a three-day period in a motel in the area of Kingston Road.

When she told the suspects that she didn’t want to work in the sex trade anymore, police say the suspects threatened her with knives and a pellet gun that she believed was a real weapon.

According to police, the suspects then took away her clothing and shoes and confined her to a hotel room.

She was eventually able to escape and contact police.

On July 2, two men were arrested in connection with the case.

Austin Williamson, 19, of Toronto, and 19-year-old Toronto resident Joshua Presley are facing a combined 20 charges, including trafficking in persons under 18, forcible confinement, and material benefit from sexual services.

Police say they believe there may be other victims.

Police ask anyone with information about the investigation to call 416-808-7474 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
