Toronto police have charged a second man with first degree murder in connection with the fatal shooting of 27-year-old Kabil Abdulkhadir in front of a hotel in downtown Toronto on Aug. 9.

Abdulkhadir was with friends outside the Marriott Hotel on Bay Street, south of Dundas Street, when he was shot and killed at about 2:45 a.m.

Investigators said there was an ongoing feud between Abdulkhadir and several other men, and the gunfire on Aug. 9 was not gang-related.

On Aug. 22, 25-year-old Mohamud Abdiwal Dirie turned himself in to police and was charged with first-degree murder.

Another man, Abdullahi Alifarah, 20, was arrested on Aug. 19 and charged with accessory after the fact to murder.

The Toronto police guns and gangs unit arrested 20-year-old Ayub Hirsi Ali of Toronto on Saturday afternoon.

He is expected to appear in court at Old City Hall on Sept. 20 at 10 a.m.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call police at 416-808-7400 or Crime Stoppers at 416-222-8477 (TIPS).
