A teen is in hospital in stable condition after a shooting at a home in Toronto’s Silver Hills neighbourhood overnight.
According to police, it appears there was a house party going on at the residence, located near Woodsworth Road and Hopperton Drive, when the shooting occurred at around 2:15 a.m.
The shooting was first reported by neighbours in the area.
One male victim suffered a gunshot wound to the back, police said, and was taken to a trauma centre with non-life-threatening injuries.
He is currently in stable condition, paramedics said.
Police said Sunday morning that several people fled the scene after the gunfire erupted.
The investigation is ongoing.
