Two males are in hospital following separate stabbings in Scarborough and North York early Tuesday morning.

In the first incident, the victim was walking on Markham Road near Ellesmere Road when he was approached by other males and stabbed around 12:15 a.m., according to the Toronto Police Service.

The male was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, an EMS spokesperson said.

Police are looking at security camera videos in the area and investigating the incident for a motive. They say they are looking for three brown male suspects, approximately six feet tall with thin builds.

The second stabbing incident happened on Brahms Avenue, near Don Mills Road and Finch Avenue, around 1:50 a.m.

Toronto EMS said the victim was stabbed in the abdomen and chest. He was taken to a trauma centre with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said the victim was allegedly stabbed by his son who is now under arrest. Their investigation is ongoing.
