Although not officially a statutory holiday, The Civic Holiday, or Simcoe Day as it is called in Ontario, means some Torontonians will have a long weekend on their hands.

What’s Open:
- Many tourist attractions including the Toronto Zoo, the Royal Ontario Museum, and Canada’s Wonderland
- Major malls including the Eaton Centre, Yorkdale and Sherway Gardens
- 370 LCBO locations and 250 beer stores
What’s Closed:
- Libraries
- Banks
- Government offices
- TTC operates on holiday schedule
- GO Transit operates on Saturday schedule
