A woman was taken to hospital in serious condition after a stabbing on Jarvis Street overnight.
Police said the incident took place at a building near Jarvis and Wellesley streets at around 1:40 a.m.
A woman, believed to be in her 50s, was taken to a trauma centre to be treated for stab wounds.
A male was taken in to custody at the scene, police said.
