A 52-year-old woman was rushed to hospital with critical injuries and a 45-year-old man was taken into police custody after a stabbing in Rexdale early Tuesday morning.
Police say the woman was stabbed once in the eye and twice to the back at an apartment in the Humberline Drive and Finch Avenue area at around 2:15 a.m.
The woman was then rushed to hospital via emergency run, where she is currently in stable condition.
Meanwhile, the 45-year-old man was arrested at the scene and was taken to hospital for injuries suffered at the hands of the female, according to police.
Police say the stabbing resulted from a domestic dispute.
