LONDON -- Didier Drogba will end his second spell at Chelsea after Sunday's Premier League match against Sunderland, and intends to play at least one more season before retiring.

The 37-year-old striker returned to Chelsea for this season, having spent eight years in his first stint at Stamford Bridge from 2004-2012, and helped the club win the Premier League and the League Cup.

Drogba says "I want to play for at least one more season and in order to play more football, I feel I need to go to another club. All the fans know my love for Chelsea and I hope to be back here in the future in another role."

Drogba, who has been behind first-choice striker Diego Costa at Chelsea this season, has scored seven goals in all competitions.
