TORONTO - The Toronto Maple Leafs have signed veteran forward David Booth to a one-year deal.

The 29-year-old Booth spent last season with the Vancouver Canucks, recording nine goals and 10 assists in 66 games.

The six-foot, 212-pound winger has registered 218 career points in 443 games with the Canucks and Florida Panthers.

In 2008-09 with the Panthers, Booth set career highs in goals (31), assists (29) and points (60) in 72 games.

A native of Detroit, Booth was selected 53rd overall by Florida in the 2004 draft.
