Andrea Hartling is one of the first people at work in the CP24 newsroom each day at 4 a.m. She tracks the breaking stories as part of the CP24 Assignment Team. Hartling also delivers accurate up-to-date breaking news reports live from CP24's downtown Toronto station headquarters.
Hartling is passionate about delivering reports that resonate with viewers. She loves everything about working at an all news station. She has chased and landed interviews with everyone from politicians including Stephen Harper and pop stars including Justin Bieber; Hartling loves the thrill of the chase and getting the story out first.
Prior to working at Toronto's Breaking News - CP24, Hartling was a reporter for CTV Southwestern Ontario for more than two years. She also earned her reporter stripes with stints at CTV Two London and AM740 Prime Time Radio in Oakville, ON. While in school, Hartling wrote freelance articles for a number of newspaper outlets and interned at Global News Toronto.
When not tracking the latest breaking news developments, Hartling focuses on fitness and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. She enjoys cooking, personal finance, golf and spending time with family at her cottage on the Ottawa River.
Raised in Oakville, ON, Hartling now lives in Toronto in the bustling neighbourhood of Yonge and St. Clair. She holds an honours B.A from the University of Guelph and a Masters in Journalism from the University of Western Ontario.
