One Love for Haiti
One Love For Haiti is a fundraiser for relief in Haiti. The One Love for Haiti concert will mix the rhythms of Pop, Jazz, R&B, Hip Hop, Reggae and Gospel at the Kool Haus on Saturday, February 6, 2010. Doors open at 7, showtime 9PM. Tickets are $25.00 and are available for purchase now at www.ticketbreak.com. Funds raised will be donated to Haiti through UNICEF and the Haitian Consulate.
Guests and supporters include Haitian Consul General Dr. Eric Pierre, Jamaica's Consul General to Toronto George Ramocan, and Toronto Mayor David Miller.
Chinese New Year Celebrations
Those born in 1914, 1926, 1938, 1950, 1962, 1974, 1986 and 1998 are Tigers according to the Chinese Zodiac, but you don't have to be one to come out and ring in the new year with music, dance, arts and crafts and a traditional tea ceremony. All activities are included with admission to the ROM.

Winterlicious 2010
Winterlicious celebrates eight years, with culinary events all over the city. Reservations begin Thursday, January 14 for the general public. AMEX holders can book early on January 12 and January 13.
Winterlicious celebrates eight years with culinary events all over the city. Some of Toronto's top dining establishments offer prix fixe menus with starters, entrées and desserts. This fine-dining experience costs around $15 to $25 for lunch or $25 to $45 for dinner per person, plus taxes and gratuity. There are 150 restaurants participating this year.
Reservations are strongly recommended.
Kuumba
Toronto's longest-running and largest Black History Month festival returns to Harbourfront Centre with two jam-packed weekends commemorating both the history and the future of black culture. The first weekend of Kuumba focuses on ideas surrounding Old School and Power of Soul while the second weekend will explore themes of Black to the Future and One Love.
"Kuumba" is the Swahili word for creativity and has become synonymous with showcasing the best local and international artists from the African and Caribbean diaspora each February at Harbourfront Centre. Join us Feb. 6-7 and Feb. 13-14, 2010 for dance workshops, film screenings, music, comedy, family activities, food demos and more. All programming is FREE (except the Valentine's Day Comedy Clash $10, $15 at the door) and runs each day from 1 p.m. into the evening.
