At least one person is in custody after fleeing police during a traffic stop near Dufferin Street and Highway 407 Tuesday morning.

There may have been two people in the car at the time it was pulled over, said a spokesman for York Regional Police, who backed up Ontario Provincial Police officers during the call.

OPP Sgt. Dave Woodford confirmed to CP24 that at least one person ran from police during a traffic stop.

Video that was recorded by a CP24 viewer shows several police officers hopping a concrete barrier to arrest a male next to traffic.

Dufferin Street's northbound ramp to Highway 407 was closed for about an hour as police conducted an investigation at the scene.

Police haven't explained the reason for the traffic stop.
