A 14-year-old Dutch girl who allegedly tweeted a fake terrorism threat to American Airlines was arrested Monday, according to an online post from police in Rotterdam.

On Sunday, the girl, who identified herself as Sarah, tweeted to the airline, “Hello, my name is Ibrahim and I’m from Afghanistan. I’m part of Al Qaida and on June 1st I’m gonna do something really big bye.”

In response to her tweet, American Airlines made it clear just how seriously it treats to passenger safety.

“Your IP address and details will be forwarded to security and the FBI,” American Airlines returned.

The teen then revealed she was not in fact a terrorist and begged the airline to terminate any investigation into her account.

“I was kidding pls don’t I’m just a girl pls,” read one tweet.

She continued to post a steady stream of tweets in an effort to exonerate herself but American Airlines did not reply any further.

“I was joking and it was my friend not me, take her IP address not mine,” she pleaded.

After the exchange began to attract thousands of followers, the girl appeared to start to enjoy all of the attention she was receiving on social media.

“I always wanted to be famous, but I meant like Demi Lovato famous, not Osama bin laden famous,” she later tweeted.

Eventually, the 14-year-old, who wrote under the Twitter handle @queendemetriax, deleted the tweet, her account and “blocked the FBI just in case,” she wrote.

Police in the Netherlands have not released any details about charges laid against the minor but said in a tweet that the investigation will continue.
