An Air Canada plane from Toronto had to circle Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv for 10 minutes earlier today after Hamas claimed that it had fired three rockets at the airport.

According to the airline, flight AC84 was advised by Israeli Air Traffic Control to perform a “standard go-around” until airspace conditions could be confirmed safe for landing.

The plane then landed without incident at 12:07 p.m. local time with the return flight leaving Tel Aviv at 1:59 p.m. local time.

Air Canada says its flight to Tel Aviv will operate as scheduled tonight, departing Pearson International Airport at 6:10 p.m.

Earlier this week, Air Canada cancelled several flights to Tel Aviv after another rocket strike near the airport.
