Toronto police are investigating a report of another sexual assault at York University.

According to a bulletin on the university’s website, the assault occurred in the basement of Stong College, in front of the Art Gallery, on Thursday between 12:30 p.m. and 1 p.m.

The incident was reported to campus security later that afternoon.

In its bulletin to students, the university said a female student was approached by a male, who asked her if she wanted to dance.

He then grabbed her hand and pressed himself against her. The victim pulled away and the suspect left, the university said.

The male is white, six-foot-two and about 20 years old with a thin build, brown hair styled as a mohawk and brown eyes, according to the bulletin, which was posted Friday.

The male was wearing a heavy, dark-coloured winter jacket and blue jeans.

Anyone with information about the assault is asked to call police at 416-808-2222.

Several sexual assaults have been reported on or near York University’s campus in recent months.

On Nov. 23, a 20-year-old woman reported being sexually assaulted after she stepped off a transit bus near Vari Hall.
