Bloor-Yonge Station has reopened after a lengthy closure caused by a water main break.
According to the TTC, a ruptured pipe above the station resulted in water cascading onto the subway platform early Saturday morning.
The water did not fall onto the track and subway cars were able to continue passing through the station.
Crews spent most of the day working to clean up the mess.
The station finally reopened at around 8 p.m.
A total of 26 shuttle buses had been running between Rosedale and Wellesley stations on the Yonge-University-Spadina line and 31 shuttle buses were running between St. George and Castle Frank stations on the Bloor-Danforth line during the closure.
Problems at Greenwood Station
Bloor-Yonge was not the only subway station to experience problems caused by a water main break.
Trains were also bypassing Greenwood Station after a water main broke at that location Saturday night.
Full service resumed shortly before 11:30 p.m.
