Toronto police are investigating after a car collided with a motor coach carrying a South Korean television crew in Newtonbrook early Wednesday morning.

The collision occurred near the intersection of Steeles Avenue and Bowan Court in Newtonbrook sometime after 1 a.m., police said. Paramedics said two people were taken to a hospital trauma centre with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Police traffic services officers are investigating the collision, which forced the closure of Bayview Avenue for more than three hours.

The coach was carrying a South Korean television crew on its way to Quebec after completing interviews in the Toronto area.
