Toronto Police said nobody was injured after a car was struck by bullets in North York’s Humber Summit neighbourhood Wednesday morning.

Police said a vehicle was shot at in the middle of Islington Avenue at Ayr Crescent, sometime before 11:32 a.m. The occupants of the vehicle were uninjured.

Police found three bullet holes in the side of the car, along with some shell casings.

Islington Avenue is closed between Vanhill Avenue and Ayr Crescent as police investigate.

York Regional Police say they have no reason to believe the incident is connected to a fatal shooting that took place less than two kilometres to the north at a Woodbridge café Wednesday morning.
