A young boy remains in hospital with life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Parkdale Wednesday afternoon.
It happened at the intersection of Queen Street West and Jameson Avenue at around 3:30 p.m.
According to police, the five-year-old child was struck by the vehicle heading south on Jameson Avenue after running into the roadway.
The vehicle remained at the scene and the driver is co-operating with investigators, police said.
Jameson Avenue was closed between Queen and King streets for several hours as police investigated.
It was reopened shortly before 7:30 p.m., police said in a tweet.
