Crews are cleaning up after a section of Pickering Town Centre flooded on Monday morning.

According to mall spokesperson Nidhi Gaur, it appears construction crews struck a water main while working in the southwest lot of the shopping centre.

The break caused water to flood into the lower level of the mall, including the food court and the ‘Santa Village’ area.

Areas affected by the flooding are closed but the upper level of the mall remains open.

Gaur said it is unclear when all stores will fully reopen.
