Emergency services and security personnel are testing their joint response to potential crises in the city through an exercise in downtown Toronto on Sunday.
The exercise will take place from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the area of King and Bay streets. One lane of traffic will be closed in the area of King, Bay, Melinda and Jordan streets.
The Toronto Police Service, Commercial Real Estate – Financial District Security Group and other emergency services will be participating in the exercise which is not in response to any threats and there is no danger to public safety, Toronto police said in a news release.
“The exercise will test how emergency services and building owners respond cooperatively during a crisis,” police said.
