A man was rushed to hospital Wednesday morning after the car he was driving collided with transport truck.

The man was taken to Hamilton General Hospital with unspecified injuries but Hamilton police spokesperson Const. Debbie McGreal-Dinning told CP24 earlier the patient was not in a life-threatening condition.

The collision happened at the intersection of Concession 8 West at Brock Road just after 10 a.m. The driver of the car was trapped and needed to be freed by rescue workers.

Police are still trying to determine how the crash took place. No charges have been laid against either driver at this point, McGreal-Dinning said.
